However, they are reviewed regularly and must continue to meet state standards.

Some states also offer their own online public schools. These virtual programs generally go from a state office or a school district. State-wide public school programs vary. Some online public schools offer a limited number of remedial or advanced courses not available in brick-and-mortar public school campuses. Others offer full online diploma programs.

The Nokia 6265i is a slide cell phone which makes it calm to make and send phone calls, send text messages and keep track of your appointments. The three top reasons I selected the Nokia 6265i destined for myself are: It was important for me to have a phone that I could keep synchronized with my laptop and not all cell phones have this capability - check the specs to see if Bluettooth or Infrared have been disabled. I can self-possessed use this phone as a modem for my laptop with the appropriate data service plan.

There are times when size is an important compassion and I didn’t want a cell phone that was too tiny nor too large. I find that the Nokia 6265i is just the right size for me (I do have small hands so your mileage may vary). I also wanted a phone that was light enough that when I am carrying it I don’t feel like I’ve taken everything and the kitchen register along. The price and service plan may in actuality be the before circumstance for some, for me it was more important to find the right phone and then see what plans were available.

The phone is easy to use, and doesn’t require a lot of fussing to get started with. One feature I particularly like is how casually it is to lock the keypad and know that there won’t be unexplained calls or connections made.

Sound quality is quite good. I don’t hear any tinniness or the infamous cell phone simulation.

I normally need to charge the phone once a week and it holds its charge quite well. When using the Bluetooth or Infrared there is a dainty increase in battery power used.

The MiniSD slot is Dialect right useful for storing information and helps keeps that data more secure since it is not stored on the phone, it’s easy to transfer data that modus vivendi = ‘lifestyle’ as well.

The cell phone has been a surprisingly useful take that I wasn’t initially out interested in but it takes high quality photos and it’s always available.

Pimco’s El-Erian to run new Global Advantage Fund

Pacific Investment Management plans to open the first fund managed by way of Mohamed El-Erian since he rejoined the company after quitting as the head of Harvard University’s endowment.

El-Erian will oversee the Pimco Global Advantage Fund, according to documents filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

The fund will invest at least 65 percent of its assets in “fixed-income instruments that are economically tied” to at least three countries, the filing said.

It can initiate in securities denominated in foreign currencies and U.S. dollars, as well as derivatives such as options, futures contracts and swap agreements.

During his last stint at Pimco, El-Erian produced a five-year annualized gain of 19 percent while managing its Emerging Markets Fund.

The new Global Advantage fund will approve El-Erian to pursue even higher returns, according to Geoff Bobroff, a consultant to asset managers based in East Greenwich, R.I.

“This fund is going to be go beyond a thus far more flexible from a manipulation standpoint than the emerging-market dough was,” said Bobroff, who has reviewed the Global Advantage filing. “This will give him the opportunity to show his wares.”

El-Erian’s former Pimco fund, moment managed by Michael Gomez, invests at least 80 percent of its assets in fixed-income securities tied to emerging-market countries.

The SEC filing doesn’t list any restrictions on where Global Advantage can invest, stating that it can buy emerging-market securities “without limitation” as well as debt from developed countries such as the U.S.

El-Erian managed the Pimco Emerging Markets Bond Fund until February 2006, when he left to succeed Jack Meyer as the chairlady of Harvard’s mine money, the world’s largest college endowment, with $34.9 billion of assets as of June 30.

He guided the Harvard endowment to a 23 percent gain in the fiscal year ended June 30, 2007, adding some $5.7 billion in value.

He returned to Newport Beach, Calif.-based Pimco in December and now shares the position of co-chief investment officer with Bill Gross and co-chief executive officer with Bill Thompson.

The US Patent Office

The US Patent Office’s Role In Patent Application ExaminationExcept for provisional permit applications, all patent applications sent to the US Patent Office (USPTO) that are accepted as complete are assigned to an checkout group. The US Patent Office staff members have expertise in various technologies related to different inventions. Applications are examined in the order they were filed, unless the US Patent Office finds a compelling reason to do otherwise.

US Patent Office - Examination of Patent Applications An examination of a patent application consists of: a study of the patent application for compliance with all lawful requirements a prior art search through United States patents, foreign patent documents, and accessible literature, to see if the claimed invention is new, useful and nonobvious If the operation meets the requirements of the patent statute and rules of practice ( manifest law ) a decree is then reached by the examiner based on the study, and the result of the prior art search.

The US Patent Office grants about two out of every three applications for patents which are filed. US Patent Office - Restrictions on Patent Applications If two or more inventions are claimed within a single patent application (either deliberately or unknowingly), the US Patent Office determination not issue a single letters patent covering all inventions. The applicant will be required to limit the patent application to one of the inventions. The applicant could file a separate application for the other invention(s) and if that is filed while the first patent application is still pending, the other patent application(s) will benefit by receiving the earlier filing date. US Patent Office - What Is An Action? Applicants are notified in writing of any US Patent Office conclusion called an “action”. The reasons after any adverse action, objection, or additional want(s) are stated in the action. The US Patent Office will include facts or references that may be expedient in aiding the applicant to decide if they should continue with their patent application.

If the invention is not patentable, all claims will be rejected. If the US Patent Office finds that the invention lacks novelty or differs only in an obvious manner from what is found in the prior art, the claims may also be rejected. It is not good for some or all of the claims to be rejected on the first office action by the examiner, less few patent applications are allowed as filed. Applicant’s Reply - To Adverse Actions If your patent application is rejected, you have to communicate with to the US Patent Office within a invariable time period to get them to reconsider. Your written letter called the "applicant’s reply", must distinctly and specifically point out the supposed errors in the examiner’s action, and oration every reason for objection and rejection made by the US Patent Office. You can also request that the US Patent Office states what they find patentable within your patent application.

The applicant’s reply must be a bona fide one. The mere accusation that the examiner made a mistake will not be received as a punctilious reason in support of reconsideration. Amending a Patent Application When amending an application in reply to a rejection, the applicant must clearly point out why the amended claims are now patentable. In your written comeback you must address any reference made by the US Patent Office to unfavorable previously to art and how your amended claims are different from that prior art.

After the applicant’s answer is received, the patent application will be reconsidered. The applicant will be notified whether the claims are rejected, or objected to, or whether the claims are allowed. The second lifetime around, US Patent Office usually makes its decisions (actions) irreversible.

Interviews with examiners may be arranged, but an interview does not remove the necessity of replying to Office actions within the required time.
